Be a Fighter Pilot (Top Secret)

There are many factors that go into becoming a massively successful real estate investor, and there is one profession in particular that I believe offers an appropriate comparison to the overall skills you need to have in this business, albeit on a slightly different playing field. This comparable profession is a Fighter Pilot. Think about it, Fighter Pilots are the absolute best at what they do. They must go through rigorous tests and training before they “get their wings” so to speak. Not everyone who sets out to become a Fighter Pilot reaches their goal, and that’s because it takes a certain individual to overcome the challenges, and develop the skills required before the government hands over the keys to a multi-million dollar aircraft.

Here is a brief list of some of the skills I think can be shared between a Fighter Pilot and a Real Estate Investor:

o Desire to be the best at what they do
o Willingness to work hard under all circumstances
o Ability to handle pressure very well
o Ability to think and make decisions very quickly
o A love for speed and results
o Having a very strong understanding of the business/aircraft that they are operating.
o Commitment to their business/country
o Always striving to make their skills better
o Have trust in their mentor/wingman
o Display a very high level of confidence in themselves

Obviously this is not all of the comparisons that could be made between a Fighter Pilot and a Real Estate Investor. In fact there are probably hundreds of comparisons that could be made. It is fun though, isn’t it? If you can think of any more then be sure to post your comments in this blog.

Here is one more thing to consider when you compare yourself as a real estate investor to that of a Fighter Pilot. Your workspace (your desk/office/etc) should be very structured and organized, similar to that of the Fighter Pilot’s cockpit that they fly in. What I mean by that is this: When you are working at your desk, in order to be most efficient, and effective without loss of momentum and concentration you need to have everything near you so that you can work quickly. You should know where everything is that helps you work effectively and it should all be within short reach of your chair. When you are in your cockpit you should become focused on accomplishing your goals and tasks for the day. Prioritize your mission for each day and work down the list from most important to least important. You should always be focusing the most effort on the deal that is closes to cash and getting you paid. Always keep this and other deals similar to this on your radar screen.

How the Foo Fighters Band Was Formed

Dave Grohl started his musical career, when he was a teenager, he wrote songs and played guitar. He also performed, with other popular hardcore punk groups. He joined a popular band in the 80s, known as hardcore band scream and became the drummer of the band. In his final days, as a drummer in hardcore band scream, he started to write his own material at the basement studio of his close friend Barrett Jones. Some of the songs, which Grohl wrote were featured on the hardcore band scream last album. After hardcore band scream tour in 1990, Dave Grohl decided to quit from the band and joined Nirvana. This forced Grohl to shift to Seattle.

Grohl decided to go back to D.C, after Nirvana produced and recorded “Never mind”. He went to D.C and recorded a few singles, which were featured on Pocket watch, a cassette which was released by simple machines. In 1992, Grohl was very busy with Nirvana but when the group was not performing or recording any songs, he used to record his own songs with Jones. They recorded a few songs until 1993, when Grohl decided to go back to Nirvana band. He was planning to release another independent cassette in 1993, but he was not successful. After the death of Kurt Cobain, Grohl decided to be silent.

After a few months, Grohl and Jones recorded an album, which became Foo fighter’s debut album. On the album, Grohl played all the instruments. He produced more than eight copies of the tape and gave out the tapes to friends. Instead of Grohl, moving on as a solo artist, he formed a band. The band was called Foo fighters. It was established after World War II. After the band was formed, they signed a record deal with Capitol records. Foo Fighters released their debut album in 1995 and became successful in United States.

In 1996, the band toured extensively, to support the album. Towards the end of 1996, the band went back to studio and recorded their second album. Foo Fighters band worked with a good producer known as Gil Norton.

When they were recording their second album, the band suffered a huge blow after William Goldsmith, decided to leave the group. William left the group because of creative tension, within the band and this made Grohl, to play drums in all the songs. Before, Foo Fighters band, released their second album in 1997, the band replaced William with Taylor Hawkins. Despite Foo fighters being successful in the 90s, the band members were facing a lot of challenges, like when the band released their first album they were criticized because of coping heavily, the music style of Nirvana band.

Becoming a Well Rounded Mixed Martial Arts Fighter

Mixed Martial Arts is an art where being well rounded in diverse styles is required and training or specializing in one specific style of marital arts isn’t enough. This can make the whole process of becoming a well rounded MMA fighter very time consuming because not every academy trains fighters in every style. Actually almost every academy specializes in one specific style for the most part.

One of the most important part of becoming a great mixed martial art fighter is very well put in this popular line amongst fighters… “If you fail to prepare, you are preparing to fail” This is a saying that you should always keep in mind if you want to become an MMA fighter, because discipline is what will take you the furthest in this sport..

It is also a most to be fit mentally for this sport. It is often said that half of the results a fighter gets from a fight depend on their mental stability, it is important to come strong with no fears and no unsettled business to a fight as this type of emotion can make a fighter lose the bout. A successful MMA fighter focuses on his mental health as much as he does on his skills and endurance.

This sport isn’t often called the most dangerous of all styles of fighting for no reason, this is serious competition and to be a part of this sport you have to become a serious fighter. Mixed Martial Arts has also gained a lot of notoriety for the amount of multidimensional fighters it showcases, many of the best fighters in the world have mastered many different styles of martial arts and when they put them all together it make them a spectacle to watch.

So here are the basic areas where you want to focus on developing; For the stand up aspect of fighting you must gain experience in at least one of these styles, kickboxing, Muay Thai, karate, kung fu. I personally believe that for the boxing side of it kickboxing or Muay Thai are better if you want to be a well rounded fighter because these styles train you to use your fists for more than punching and that can be helpful in the ring.

As far as the grappling side of fighting you should look into judo, ambo, jujutsu wrestling ground Brazilian also the very popular and reputable Jiu jitsu or Wrestling Judo Jujutsu.

Once you establish a routine and begin to see results the ultimate way to stay on top of your game in MMA is how given you are to your training and how much you take care of your nutrition. These are essential for any MMA Fighter. You can have the skills but if you don’t have the nutrition odd are going to be against you.
